What is XMP/EXPO?

Modified on Mon, 4 Nov at 11:07 AM

XMP is Intel's overclocking profiles for RAM that is set in an Intel motherboard's BIOS and enabled with RAM that is compatible.  EXPO is AMD's overclocking profiles for RAM that is set the same way as Intel's XMP profiles.  Sometimes it is called AOCP, but that is specific to Asus motherboards for AMD systems.
